What a difference a year can make! My sister, Lori, introduced me to Arbonne — just over one wonderful, seemingly eternal year ago — and I immediately signed up as an Arbonne Independent Consultant. My goal was pretty straightforward: I wanted to buy products at a discounted rate. More than that, though, I was drawn to the pure, safe, beneficial philosophy of this Swiss skin care line. A few months later, Lori called to let me know that she had been introduced to the Arbonne business and was so excited about what she referred to as a phenomenal opportunity. Lori had such a strong belief in the company that I knew I had to jump in. I was also intrigued by the fact that, although Arbonne was experiencing unprecedented growth, the company still seemed to be far from a household name. Who knew that agreeing to buy a few skin care products would utterly revolutionize my life?
This past year has been amazing. I have seen the choices available to me increase exponentially. For the first time in my life, I have experienced the potential for financial freedom Arbonne offers. And I have come to appreciate the value of margin. I now have time for my true obligations, thanks, in part, to my diligence in working my Arbonne business.
Before I dove into the Arbonne opportunity, I was involved with another network marketing company and certainly enjoyed the freedom and flexibility that it afforded me, as well as the fact that it provided an income stream to fund our two older boys’ Christian school tuition. But with a third son now in school, we faced a dilemma. With tuition going up and my income going down, could something like Arbonne possibly be the answer for us?
Right off the bat, I was drawn to the Arbonne=REsults™ approach. It required no Presentations and no inventory. Instead, my role was to promote consumable, daily-use products through “One-on-One” Presentations with people who would benefit from them the most. I figured that even a busy mom of three such as me could fit this into my life. Thankfully, I was right! I went to work using the Arbonne=REsults™ approach and found it to be immensely doable and easy to duplicate … not to mention fun! Simply put, my job involved keeping an eye out for people who may be looking for the potential to have financial freedom, more discretionary time, a flexible schedule and an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others.
I discovered early on that Arbonne Independent Consultants are in business for themselves but not by themselves. How grateful I am for the friendships I have developed because of this business. Arriving at Nation is a direct by-product of a strong team, and I am blessed with an amazing team. I absolutely would not be where I am today without their belief, leadership, support and hard work.
My sister, RVP Sallie Jones, began the Arbonne journey with me in Minnesota and was a key player in my becoming Minnesota’s first NVP. More than anyone else, she made the climb to the top an absolute blast! Who knows what I would have done without her (and her husband, EDM Dan Jones) along the way. They have invested countless hours and expertise for the sake of our team. It remains one of my greatest joys to see their lives change because of Arbonne.
ERVP Deb Fredrickson saw the vision and joined me early on. I am so thankful that she did! Neither of us realized when we started what a huge impact Arbonne would have in our lives. It is so fun and rewarding sharing this journey with friends.
RVP Julianna Newstrom has also been a great leader on our team. I knew she would be a VP the day we met. I am so thankful for her leadership and the friendship that we now share.
My sister-in-law, EAM Ashley Wiersma, instantly loved the products, saw the potential for building a business and launched a solid team in the foothills of Colorado. What a blessing it is to see her income from Arbonne used for her heart and passion for changing lives in Africa.
AMs, Jennifer Bierman, Teresa Conway, Megan Newstrom Gaillard, Heather Larson, Jane Kleinman, Tami Moberg, Christy Partington, Rhonda Seelhammer, Pam Van Eps, Kaye Warren and Katrina Watson have all worked so hard. I look forward to seeing each of them driving their own white Mercedes-Benzes soon!
Additionally, my DMs and Consultants are charting their own courses en route to the top. What a gratifying feeling it is to watch their hard work pay off! I believe that as they lead with the unparalleled opportunity Arbonne offers as well as maintain consistent activity, the road to success will pave itself. Please remember that your Arbonne business is a journey, not a race. Make the decision to work your business, regardless how much life happens to you along the way. Follow the system that is in place, and, most importantly, just give it time. Had it taken me years to achieve VP status, it still would have been worth it.
My sister and sponsor, ENVP Lori Lubben, possesses an incredibly strong belief in Arbonne that is contagious. What a gift it is to have her leadership to guide me and her friendship to sustain me. I will eternally be grateful for the gift that she has given to my family and me.
Our team’s ENVP, Lynn Hagedorn, provided faithful leadership, integrity and unending wisdom, which have proven to be an enormous contribution to each of our businesses. I speak for the hundreds of us who cherish being part of her organization when I say what an honor it is to be part of her team.
My wonderful husband, David, has encouraged my progress all along the way. Moreover, the business has been a huge blessing for him individually, as it resulted in an enormous weight being lifted from his shoulders once he as I began to share the responsibility of providing our family’s income.
Our boys, Austin, Trevor and Connor, have been a boundless supply of energy and inspiration since day one of this adventure. Who knew that being the mom of three boys could be so much fun? I love them wholeheartedly and pray that the fruit of my Arbonne experience blesses them for many years to come.
Lastly, in my heart of hearts, I view God as the superintendent of my life. He has looked with favor on my effort, and it is my prayer that in all things, I would point the glory right back at Him.
