My last 14 months have been a whirlwind and the journey has been absolutely amazing. Arbonne has changed my life in a profound way and given me endless possibilities. The choices we make in our lives not only impact us, but the others around us. It is not until now that I realized the huge impact the decision of accepting the “gift of Arbonne” has made on my life, my family, my future and the people around me.
Arbonne is a company that stresses personal growth and being the best you can be. I have grown personally, and now can use my gifts and talents to help others grow personally as well. On a personal level, Arbonne has given me a great sense of confidence and the courage to step out of my comfort zone. On a grander scale, Arbonne has given mothers the potential to stay at home with their children, has enabled families the potential to take the financial burden off of their spouses, and has shown our children how to take a leap of faith and grow a successful business with hard work. However, the gift of Arbonne is not ours to keep; we have a duty to “pass it on.” When you pass on this amazing gift to others, it is incredible to see the personal growth, as well as the blessings of lifelong friendships that it creates in the lives of those who accept it. To me, this is priceless.
Prior to my Arbonne career, I was a respiratory therapist. That job helped me with my success as an Arbonne Consultant. I cared for patients with my knowledge, compassion and caring. I always tried to make a difference in the lives of my patients. Putting a smile on their face, when they were not feeling well, was a true blessing to me. I also learned the meaning of customer service. This has helped my Arbonne business tremendously. Arbonne is not about me; it is about making a difference in other people’s lives. The business is simple, though you must work hard. When I was a therapist working 40 hours a week, being on-call, sometimes even working every other weekend and holiday, I had no control over my life; now that was hard! Compared to that, Arbonne is a breeze. I am no longer away from my family on holidays, nor waking up in the middle of the night when I am on-call. Now I am able to choose the hours I want to work and attend my children’s sporting activities.
I used to think if it is too good to be true, it usually is not true. Arbonne has changed all that. With the potential financial blessings from Arbonne, my husband and I no longer worry about paying for college tuition. We have also lifted the financial burdens from our parents. When I went to NTC 2005 Las Vegas, President Rita Davenport asked us, “What are your dreams?” Hearing that made me suddenly very sad because I realized I did not have any dreams. I let my practicality get in the way of my dreams. I can stand here today and say, I now have dreams and they are coming true. Joe, I cannot wait until you join me in my business every day. Thank you, Arbonne, for these possibilities.
So, if you are reading my Eye on Arbonne story today and you are tired of where you are in your life, now is the time to make a life-changing decision. I am just an ordinary person, however, Arbonne has given me the tools, friendships and support necessary to make my life extraordinary. I want this for you, too. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain. I was told that when you start your own business, you do not get paid much in the beginning, so it is important to reinvest in your business; then one day … you will have the potential to get paid more than what you thought was ever possible. That has come true for me and I want it to come true for you.
Reaching Nation was an amazing, humbling experience. I did not reach Nation alone, my team made the difference. I have never felt so much love and support from a group of awesome women. They wanted this for me and I have to say it has been such an overwhelming feeling that it often reduces me to tears — tears of joy, of course.
To my husband, Joe: You have been my number one cheerleader and supporter. You never doubted I could do it, even when my self-doubt took over. You have helped me with my business and really stepped up around the house. A supportive husband is very important and I can see the difference it has made in my business. I love you!
To my 17-year-old daughter, Lindsay: I love you so much and want to thank you for your support and help at my Presentations. I love your kind and gentle spirit and, in June, when you turn 18, I know you will become a great Consultant.
To my 14-year-old son, Nolan: I love you so much. You are becoming an awesome young man. Thank you for your support and for carrying my Arbonne supplies out to my car. You will be great in whatever you do. Maybe your modeling career will be combined with a business career, since you come home from school every day and ask me what my volume is!
To my parents, family and friends: Thank you for your support, prayers and encouragement. It means the world to me. To my sister and best friend, DM Ellin O’Hora: I am so glad you finally decided to do the business with me after my Mercedes-Benz presentation. It has been a dream come true.
